Job Description

Pago de los Capellanes is looking to hire a technical profile to control, adjust, and maintain the winery machinery, both in the production area (fermentation and aging) and the bottling and labeling line, including technical support during the harvest processing, as well as maintenance of the facility's climate control and automation systems.

Main Responsibilities

Preventive and corrective maintenance of production area machinery: fermentation and stainless steel tanks, transfer pumps, filters, cooling exchangers, barrel/aging equipment, etc.

Maintenance and adjustment of grape reception and processing machinery during the harvest: scales, reception hoppers, conveyor belts, sorting tables, destemmers, crushers, cooling systems for fermentation control, etc.

Operation, control, and adjustment of bottling and labeling line machines (fillers, cappers/corkers, labelers, capsule applicators, case packers, etc.).

Setup and format changes according to product reference.

Diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic breakdowns in all winery machinery.

Maintenance of climate control and temperature regulation systems (tank cooling, barrel room, winery and office air conditioning).

Inspection and maintenance of automation and electrical panels (PLC, sensors, temperature probes, frequency drives).

Recording interventions and monitoring the preventive maintenance plan for all machinery.

Spare parts management and coordination with suppliers/external technicians when necessary.

Availability and priority intervention during the harvest campaign, ensuring continuity of grape reception and processing.

Compliance with industrial and food safety and hygiene regulations.

Maintain order and cleanliness in machine areas, production, and bottling zones.

Report incidents to the maintenance/enology-production manager.

Perform minor facility maintenance tasks.

Requirements

Training in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, automation, or similar (vocational training, technical cycle, or equivalent experience).

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in wineries or beverage production/packaging plants.

Knowledge of industrial electricity, pneumatics, PLCs, and automation systems.

Knowledge of climate control and industrial refrigeration systems (refrigerant gas handling certification/license is a plus).

Availability for more demanding shifts during the harvest season.

Problem-solving skills, autonomy, and teamwork.

Valued Qualifications

Electrical risk certification.

Previous experience in wineries, especially during harvest campaigns.

Basic welding or machining knowledge.

Basic enology knowledge (to understand the process and its technical requirements).

Forklift license

Overhead crane license
