KITCHEN TEAM MEMBER – EVENING SERVICE
 

Every plate, exactly as intended.

Emi X is a new gastronomic bar preparing to open in the Old Town of San Sebastián. Emi X brings together Japanese home cooking, Spanish influences, and original creations in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We are looking for a careful, precise, and organized cook who can reproduce our small plates consistently throughout evening service.

The ability to follow recipes precisely and reproduce the same quality, portion, and presentation every time is essential for this role.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:

Prepare your station before evening service

Prepare, cook, finish, and plate small dishes during service

Follow Emi X recipes, quantities, portions, preparation methods, and plating standards precisely

Reproduce each dish consistently, without making unapproved changes

Check with the manager before changing any recipe, ingredient, method, portion, or presentation

Coordinate timing smoothly with the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams

Check the quality, temperature, portion, and presentation of every dish before it leaves the kitchen

Monitor ingredient freshness, labeling, and storage

Follow food-safety and hygiene procedures at all times

Clean, organize, and close the kitchen properly after service
 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Previous professional kitchen experience is preferred.

Recipe accuracy: You must be able to follow recipes, quantities, preparation methods, portions, and plating instructions precisely and consistently.

Attention to detail: A careful and disciplined working style, with pride in reproducing every dish to the same standard.

Service skills: The ability to remain calm, clean, organized, and efficient during busy service periods.

Teamwork: Clear communication and the ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house colleagues.

Languages: Confident communication in both English and Spanish.

Legal requirements: Legal right to work in Spain.

Availability: Availability to work evening shifts and weekends.
 

POSITION DETAILS

Contract: Part-time.

Schedule: Two or three days per week.

Typical hours: 17:00–24:00.

Regular closing days: Emi X is regularly closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Location: Old Town, San Sebastián.

Salary and conditions: According to the applicable Gipuzkoa hospitality collective agreement.
