Production Manager in the Food Industry

At Grupo Empresarial Palacios Alimentación, we are looking to hire a Production Manager for our plant in Ólvega. As Production Manager, you will have full responsibility for planning, coordinating, and optimizing all production processes in the factory, under the plant management. Your mission will be to ensure the fulfillment of production plans, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality, food safety, and risk prevention, driving efficiency through Lean methodologies.

In this role, you will lead...

The management, motivation, and development of a team of between 100 and 150 people, fostering a positive work environment and organizing work in a shift-based production setting. You will supervise and control the plant’s industrial processes and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. You will implement and deploy Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, SMED, Kaizen, OEE) to increase efficiency and reduce costs. You will ensure strict compliance with Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) culture and Food Safety standards (IFS, BRC, HACCP). You will coordinate with logistics, quality, and maintenance departments to meet delivery deadlines and established service levels.

Job Requirements

Education: University degree, preferably in Engineering (Industrial, Food, Chemical, or related fields).

Experience: At least 5 years in responsible roles in food production plants.

Leadership: Proven experience managing and leading large teams (over 100 people).

Availability: Used to working in industrial environments with shift organization.

Technical skills: Strong knowledge of industrial process machinery, basic/technical maintenance, and practical application of Lean Manufacturing systems.
