We are looking for a profile with deep knowledge in the wine sector 'from vine to table' to join our technology consultancy. Their main mission will be to analyze and model vineyard and winery processes to integrate them into our software, acting as the key translator and liaison between the real needs of winemakers/viticulturists and our software development team.
Main Responsibilities
1. Process Analysis and Consulting
Wine cycle mapping: Detailed modeling of critical phases (soil management, harvest, fermentation, traceability, laboratory analytics, and bottling) for digitalization.
Requirements gathering: Meeting with clients (wineries, cooperatives, viticulturists) to understand their operational issues and define how the software can solve them.
2. Technical and Sectoral Liaison (Communication Bridge)
Expert dialogue: Speaking the same technical language as winemakers and field managers to build trust and capture their real needs.
Functional translation: Converting winemakers' needs into clear technical specifications, user stories, and workflows for the consultancy's programmers.
3. Implementation and Training
Product validation: Testing software tools to ensure they accurately comply with sector regulations and practices.
Training and support: Training winery end-users in the use of the technology platform and supporting them through the digital transformation process.
Required Profile
Education and Experience
Degree: Degree in Enology, Agronomy Engineering, Higher Technician in Viticulture and Winemaking (additional training or interest in technology, project management, or information systems is highly valued).
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years working in the wine sector (wineries or agricultural consulting) and familiarity with digital tools, management software (ERP), or digital field notebooks.
Technical Skills
Business knowledge: Thorough understanding of wine sector regulations, wine traceability, and winery/field operations.
Tools: Project management (Jira, Trello, process diagramming tools) and proficiency with software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology environments.
Personal Competencies
Empathy and communication skills: Ability to engage one-on-one both with a viticulturist in the field and a software engineer in the office.
Analytical ability: Skill to transform manual or traditional processes into structured digital system logics.
Customer orientation: Consultative approach to provide solutions that improve winery profitability.
