We are expanding our event-specialized dining room team! Our project is growing, and so are the events, which is why we are looking for a responsible person to manage the dining room during social and MICE events at Villa Indiano. The position requires experience in event preparation and service, as this person will be responsible for preparing, executing the service, and closing the event. On days without events, the workday will take place in our restaurant located in the same space.
Villa Indiano is a unique venue that opened its doors 4 years ago, so we are looking for someone eager to join our Valencian gastronomy project led by Chabe Soler and located in the heart of the Burjassot orchard (Valencia. Metro stop at the door and private parking).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Before the service starts
Review the service order and event schedule (weekly meetings to review event sheets and service orders).
Coordinate with other departments to prepare the space.
Prepare all necessary materials in advance (tableware, glassware, cutlery, linens, and furniture).
Forecast staffing for the event by assigning roles. Manage temporary employment agency (ETT) coordination.
Responsible for coordinating and actively participating in setup and teardown.
Conduct a pre-service briefing with the dining room team.
Check staff appearance and presentation.
During the event
Lead and coordinate the dining room service at all times.
Supervise adherence to the established timeline for each phase of the event.
Oversee the quality of service provided by waitstaff and temporary agency personnel.
Coordinate key moments of the event (appetizer, coffee break, meeting, meal, gift delivery, dancing, or any other key moment required by the event), always in coordination with the commercial person from the Events area.
Supervise proper beverage service and material replenishment.
Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in the dining room throughout the event.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
Team management
Lead, motivate, and coordinate the dining room staff.
Give instructions and make adjustments during service as needed.
Foster an organized and collaborative work environment.
Train and support new staff during service.
After the event
Coordinate and actively participate in teardown and cleanup of the dining room.
Verify the condition of materials and report any incidents or damages.
Coordinate operational closing with kitchen and bar.
Confirm that the dining room is prepared for the next service.
Main responsibilities
Coordinate event operations according to the service order provided by the commercial person from the Events area.
Maintain effective coordination among all involved departments.
Optimize human and material resources during service.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, protocol, safety, and the establishment's image.
Guarantee client and attendee satisfaction throughout the event.
