Night Bar and Dining Room Waiter/Waitress in San Sebastián

Emi X is a new gastronomic bar preparing to open in the Old Town of San Sebastián. Emi X combines homemade Japanese cuisine, Spanish influences, original creations, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a friendly, dynamic, and reliable team member to welcome customers, serve drinks and small dishes, and support our informal night bar service.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Preparing the bar and customer service areas before the evening service

Welcoming customers and clearly explaining the food and drink menu

Taking orders and processing payments using the POS system

Preparing and serving wine, beer, soft drinks, and cocktails

Serving small dishes and ensuring customers receive the correct orders

Providing support both at the bar and in the dining area during peak times

Coordinating smoothly with the kitchen and other team members

Supervising cleanliness, presentation, and stock levels throughout the service

Clearing tables and keeping customer areas clean and welcoming

Cleaning, restocking, and helping to close the bar properly at the end of the night

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Previous experience in bar, dining room, or customer service is preferred.

Customer service: A friendly, attentive, and welcoming attitude, with the ability to make customers feel comfortable.

Bar skills: Previous experience in drink preparation or cocktail making is valued, although training will be provided.

Organization: Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient during busy periods.

Teamwork: A flexible and engaged attitude, with the ability to support both bar and dining room when needed.

Languages: Fluent and confident communication in both English and Spanish.

Legal requirements: Legal work permit in Spain.

Availability: Availability to work afternoon/evening shifts and weekends.

JOB DETAILS

Contract: Part-time.

Schedule: Two or three days per week.

Typical working hours: 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Regular days off: Emi X regularly closes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Location: Old Town, San Sebastián.

Salary and conditions: According to the applicable hospitality collective agreement of Gipuzkoa. The salary range shown corresponds to a full-time equivalent; the actual salary will be calculated proportionally based on contracted hours.
